CHENNY XIA  Chief Executive Officer / Partner


Chenny is an award-winning designer and accomplished business strategist who believes memorable imprinted experiences come from meaningful company-customer relationships. Through her work with Journey, Chenny has represented Canada at international conferences on entrepreneurship, business development, and sustainability, including the 2015 South America Business Conference. 

As CEO, Chenny combines cross-cultural insights with experiences working in business development, experience design, and private equity, to collaborate with her clients and deliver context-tailored solutions that draw upon global best practices.

In 2016, Chenny was named a Notable Young Entrepreneur, and in 2014, as one of Canada's Next 36 Leaders. She holds a BA from Emily Carr University, one of Canada's top design institutions.

JESSICA FAN  Chief Innovation Officer / Partner


Jessica is an experience designer and innovation specialist, recognized as one of Canada's next top entrepreneurs. She is the founder Penyo Pal and SnapLingo - two award-winning education technology companies with over 1 million users. Previously, she designed customer experiences at Google and Adaptive Path (acquired by Capital One). 

As CINO, Jessica combines customer insights with her expertise in lean startup methodology - developing innovative strategies that align with the technical and cultural realities of her clients. As a global nomad, Jessica has built teams in Beijing, San Francisco, and Toronto, and has led projects in diverse markets including finance, consumer technology, international development, and education. 

In 2012, Jessica was named one of Canada's Next 36 Leaders. She studied business, interaction design, and biomedical chemical engineering.

 

CHANTELLE BUFFIE  Program Manager


Chantelle is a recognized business leader and changemaker, with a strong entrepreneurial background. Her resilient drive to achieve results is drawn from her ability to execute on the details with an understanding of the strategic implications and high-level purpose. 

Prior to joining Journey, she co-founded two startups, FIXO and Fusion Kitchen. Holding executive roles in business development and marketing, she's led her team to receive honourable mentions and awards such as "Top Newcomer Startup" and being a finalist for Ashoka's "Be A Changemaker" challenge.

As Program Manager, Chantelle is laser-focused on ensuring the success of transformation initiatives by building and managing partnerships with stakeholders.
